After doing some extensive research I came across The Natural Hair Salon. As soon as I entered the salon I was greeted and felt very welcome. All the staff I interacted with were so nice and really made sure I was comfortable the entire visit. Taylor was my stylist and they were amazing! I'd honestly go back just to have her wash and massage my hair and scalp again haha. I've always struggled with my natural curls and have never been able to get them to where I want but Taylor went above and beyond when it came to them! I walked out of there with the most beautiful curls I've ever had! If your looking for a place to help you with your curly hair or even just an overall friendly environment and talented staff, look no further!

Had an absolutely amazing experience with Shaylyn! She looked at the inspiration photos I brought in and really listened to what I was hoping for and sat down and talked me through options to get me something I was happy with. Created a super comfortable vibe and was super helpful offering tips on how to style my hair! Came out of there with a haircut I’m absolutely thrilled with and will absolutely be coming back to Natural in the future. The rest of the staff there were also super friendly and the overall vibe of the place was comfortable and I felt very safe and relaxed :)

My experience here was WONDERFUL and I am so grateful to have found Philip!! I used to have super thick long hair and through some health stuff a ton of it fell out last year. The ends had thinned massively and the roots have been growing in thicker the last few months so I felt stuck and hated the way it looked. I got to have both a consultation and then haircut with Philip and he put me so at ease. I haven’t had short hair since I was a child and I was nervous but felt like it had to be done. I felt like I was in very good hands and I especially appreciated that I didn’t feel any pressure from Philip to adore my hair right when I walked out the door - it felt like he understood that it was a big change for me and was empathetic. He did a phenomenal job. It’s been two days since my cut and I’ve washed it myself, slept on it etc and I absolutely LOVE it now!! I am just so appreciative and don’t even know how he did it. I’m so happy. Also everyone at the salon was really nice and it was just all around a great experience. I can’t wait to go back!

I am visiting Victoria for 6-weeks and needed a haircut. I landed here at The Natural Hair Salon on Cooke St. They were so friendly and were able to get me in quickly. I’ve had stylists get super frustrated with my course, thick hair so I’m always nervous with someone new. Maxine gave me one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had, that’s saying a lot since I’m 67 years old. She really listened to me. She took her time and great care in cutting and styling my hair. She cared about my goals. She was so thoughtful, and kind. I live in Seattle. I told my husband I’d take the Victoria Clipper in just to get my haircut with Maxine again ????. Great experience. Highly recommend.

Edit: this salon never reached out to me once. Ridiculous
Edit: clearly this salon does not value customer service. I had to call in on June 7 after 3 weeks posting this review to check in if the salon owner will "rectify this situation". I spoke with a male owner who said he will pass this information along to the person who deals with this and that someone would be in touch with me after 24 hours.. it's been another week without no response from the owners. I'm amazed at how kind these people acted in person but won't take any accountability for leaving a customer unhappy. Definitely one of my worst experiences with a salon.

I was debating on posting this review but unfortunately I was left very unhappy with my hair. I saw Lauren for a haircut and style last Saturday. For my haircut I asked for face framing layers and lots of shaping. I asked Lauren to specifically give me a blowout. I asked her before my haircut if that's possible and she said yes styling is included with a haircut. I would've paid extra for a blowout since that's what I came in for. After my failed haircut all she did was curl it, run her fingers through my hair while doing the poorest job teasing my hair. I had to tease my hair again back at my hotel. The look she gave me wasn't what I came in for at all.. My hair feels heavy on the ends and one length with some face shaping layers. I was in a rush and running late so I didn't have time to say anything. I honestly wish I walked out but I paid plus tip because I honored Lauren's time. I definitely will not return back or will not recommend Lauren, as I was excited to recommend her because she is a nice individual but she did not listen to my requests. I showed her inspo pictures of the type of haircut and style I was looking for that evening. She did not perform. I am disappointed as I'm from Vancouver and cannot come back in to solve this issue. I have attached pictures of my hair and inspo of what I showed Lauren.
